Free Boat Wash @ Sterling State Park!
We will be out in the sun offering *FREE* boat washes at the Sterling State Park boat launch (2800 State Park Road, Monroe MI, 48162).
.
The purpose of these boat wash events is to properly Clean, Drain, and Dry all watercraft and equipment entering and exiting lakes and streams with known aquatic invasive species (AIS) present to ensure that boaters and park visitors are not inadvertently transporting these invasive hitchhikers to new areas to cause further damage elsewhere.
.
This event is put on as part of Monroe Conservation District’s involvement in the statewide Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) program to raise awareness and prevent the spread of AIS in our lakes and streams!
